I'm Leah T., the breeder behind Meraki Boxers located in Hanford, CA. We raise our litters in our home to help set the foundation for happy and confident puppies to transition well into their forever homes. It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to make an impact on each individual puppy. Our puppies exceed in sports such as rally, barn hunt and lap dog :).
Q. & A. with Leah
Why did you start breeding?
My grandmother parents bred dogs so I guess I was born into it! I started with boxers about 25 years ago. I am very familiar with the breed, their health and developmental needs. Only after extensive research in obtaining my own beautiful well bred girl, obtaining her grand championship and passing all of her health testing did I begin my own breeding program.
What makes your program special?
I learned the importance and application of Early Neurologic Stimulation while studying with famous The Monks of New Skete, in NY. I have since also introduced Early Scent Introduction and age appropriate stimuli. I value the unique development of each puppy, seek to honor them and place them in a home where they will thrive. Parents are selected based on health, temperament and conformation.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include fawn, brindle, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
