I'm Lisa S., the breeder behind Mount Juliet Boxers located in Mount Juliet, TN. Our goal is to breed for health, temperament and conformation. We raise our pups to prepare them for life while parents get to witness their journey from birth to 8 weeks old. Our dogs live in our home and are members of our family.
Q. & A. with Lisa
Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding after seeing the joy our first Boxer gave us. We then had to have another and that is where our story begins. We had our first litter and seeing the joy it brought others was so rewarding to us. I then started diving into health testings and temperaments and wanted to do the best I could by the breed.
What makes your program special?
Here at MJB, I feel I put a lot of time into our babies. My goal is to involve the parents on the front end with daily videos, pics, communication, and involvement. My goal is for the parents to know their baby on the day of pick up since they have watched them grow daily. I start pre potty training, bell training, socialization, noises, textures, and desensitizing by Rule 7.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include fawn and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
