I'm Amanda B., the breeder behind Mountain View Labrador Retrievers located in Grand Gorge, NY. Welcome to Mountain View Labrador Retrievers. We are located in Grand Gorge, NY. A small town nestled in the great Catskill Mountains. Our love of Labradors started in 2010 with our first Lab Daisy. We always dreamed of starting our own breeding program and those dreams come true in 2020.
It is our commitment to breed the highest quality Labrador Retrievers. This includes pristine temperaments and personalities in the dogs we breed along with health testing and multiple certifications from The Orthopedic Foundation for Animals.
All our dogs are a part of our family and live with us in our home. We pride ourselves in breeding high quality Labs to make the perfect service, hunting or family companion.
Q. & A. with Amanda
Why did you start breeding?
We decided to start our own breeding program because of our love for Labrador Retrievers. We want to do our part to better the breed by only breeding registered, health tested labs who have great personalities and temperaments.
What makes your program special?
What I love most about our program that sets us apart from others is that we are small. Our dogs are part of our family and live with us in our home.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Amanda is wonderful to work with. She was kind and patient with me and answered every question even after I picked up my baby. Her dogs are in an incredible environment and clearly extremely well cared for. You can easily tell she raises pups for the love of the breed and her own dogs. My baby has thrived since she came home with us. She is an amazing girl in every way. She’s got all of the puppy menace, of course, but we can also see that she’s a smart love bug. Every vet check has gone perfectly too. Life with our new dog is and will continue to be wonderful. I hope to get another dog from Amanda in a couple of years.
