Q. & A. with Al
Why did you start breeding?
In 2016 we lost our Boxer Gunner to cancer. He was only 2.5 years. We learned a lot about Boxer genes and health issues. We promised ourselves that we were going to get our future dogs from reputable breeders. While searching for a new Boxer, we met two wonderful ladies, Tina Starr (Ivylane Boxers) and Mary Dooley (Vincenza Boxers). Under their tutelage and mentorship, Olvera’s Boxers was created.
What makes your program special?
Since our inception, we decided not to breed for quantity, but for healthy, top-quality Boxers. Health, temperament, structure, and proper Boxer behaviors are our top priorities. We are very dedicated to what we do and what we are trying to achieve as breeders. We work with passion, heart, and integrity, and we truly want what's best for the Boxer line.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
