I'm Jalyn R., the breeder behind Raley Retrievers located in Texas. Our dogs are bred to be versatile and loving family members. We want our dogs to be driven dogs that can excel in any venue but still have a great temperament.
Q. & A. with Jalyn
Why did you start breeding?
I got involved due to my love for Labradors. I bought my first female in 2017, and I have slowly grown. I love seeing working dogs doing what they were bred for, yet still containing that classic look, and amazing temperament—that is what drove me. I have made many friends who have grown into mentors.
What makes your program special?
My practice is focused on versatility. Many focus only on looks or drive, but mine combines both. I want my labs to look like Labs and act like Labs. I want all of my dogs to have an even temperament, and the ability to be amazing family members.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
