I'm Mia & Donald W., the breeder behind Riverside's Boxers located in Princeton, NC. We are in eastern NC and have been breeding since 2018. Luckily, we have several experienced mentors. We selected our breeding dogs from reputable breeders considering breed standards, temperament, intelligence, health, and longevity. We are known for preparing puppies to become a family member.
Q. & A. with Mia & Donald
Why did you start breeding?
Planning to breed dogs when retired, we got into it earlier in life when we could not find a Boxer that looked like a Boxer. At an AKC family event in Raleigh, Mia saw a beautiful Boxer in a parade of breeds. The owner was the president of NC Boxer Club and became our first mentor. He was retiring from the Dog World and convinced us to get into breeding earlier and invest into Show Quality Boxers.
What makes your program special?
We educated ourselves by attending expos and touring breeder’s operations for 2 years before getting into breeding. Having quality dogs and husbandry skills are key to our program. We have implemented a whelping system that is manageable and is good for both our dogs and their puppies. The system teaches the puppy to potty outside and it prepares puppies for life at its forever home.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include fawn, brindle, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Jolene, mom
Boxer
About Jolene
Jolene is our snuggle buddy. She likes sitting right next to you and her paw always finds its way into my pocket; I don’t know how she does it. She loves to run and play with the others or she just chills looking at what’s going on around her. You will find her taking dips in the river and then basking in the sun. She is our best listening dog and has good recall. She is a well boned, wrinkled faced Boxer who is just a sweetheart. Jolene weighs 67 pounds and has a fleshy build.
Hank, dad
Boxer
About Hank
Hank is the son on one of the "Great 8" in the US Boxer Show World. He is big and solid muscles. He is an energetic Boxer that likes to play hard, but thinks its just normal play. He is a fast running boy that likes to fetch and chew on balls; luckily I found some 3" balls that are indestructible. He loves swimming in the river and basking in the sun. He's your lap buddy when your ready to relax.
