Why did you start breeding?
My journey into breeding began over 16 years ago, a natural extension of ranch life where I gained hands-on animal care, assisting my mother 5+ years. This deep foundation inspired RockinDachs 11 years ago. My mission: meticulously breed Prime Example Miniature Dachshunds, prioritizing rock-solid health to enrich homes with cherished Gems and a Radiant Legacy.What makes your program special?
Our RockinDachs program builds a Radiant Legacy of Miniature Dachshunds. We ensure rock-solid health via responsible DNA testing & raising resilient lines. Puppies actively develop balanced, intelligent temperaments within our enriched, safe home. We provide lifelong support, build community, & actively dispel breed myths. Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,450 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Litter update on 29 Sept. •…A change in external family circumstances has lovingly brought two of our RockinDachs back into our care—and what treasures they are! Meet Hans and August (formerly Samson and Elijah from June and Harvey’s beautiful litter). These boys are a dynamic duo—sweet, affectionate, and brimming with the excellent, rock-solid temperament our foundation is built on. They returned simply because their previous owner's family decided having small, active dogs in the home was no longer safe for her as she aged. Since they've been together their whole lives, we hold the initial hope of finding them a single rock-solid family to cherish them both. Ultimately, our mission is about finding the absolute right fit for their bright futures. We'll happily consider two exceptional families if it means Hans and August can continue to thrive as the radiant, loyal companions they are destined to be. Program update on 06 May •…We have a driver going from Washington through Oregon and Southern Idaho to Utah on May 15th and they will be returning to Washington on May 24th. Program update on 18 Feb. •…We just wanted to give a huge shoutout to our co-breeders Spottadachs and Simply Sharing Love for stepping up to make sure RockinDachs can continue while we navigate my husband’s disability and first time parenthood. He has his own preferences on what to watch and will always let us know when he doesn't like something by getting up and leaving the room. Dexter also loves adventure. He is always up for car rides, hiking, or just going to a park. Shawnee was everything I could hope for and more! She was super responsive with questions and walked me through the process since I was new to Good Dog. After I made the initial deposit things went very smoothly and the communication was great. She was also flexible with arranging a pickup since it was a holiday weekend. We picked up Journey yesterday and Shawnee was well prepared and had everything ready for us. Journey is an angel and has a great personality. Shawnee takes great care in preparing her dogs and we have no regrets. I wouldn’t hesitate using her again or referring people to her!
