Why did you start breeding?
My journey into breeding began over 16 years ago, a natural extension of ranch life where I gained hands-on animal care, assisting my mother 5+ years. This deep foundation inspired RockinDachs 11 years ago. My mission: meticulously breed Prime Example Miniature Dachshunds, prioritizing rock-solid health to enrich homes with cherished Gems and a Radiant Legacy.What makes your program special?

Every Gem is expertly matched at 7 weeks via our 4-point temperament assessment to ensure a perfect lifestyle fit. Litter update on 17 Mar •…The Warm Spice Homecoming Our Saturday was spent focused on the safe relocation of the Warm Spice litter from Washington to their new home here in Cave Junction, Oregon. Transitioning a litter requires time, patience, and a focus on their emotional well-being, and we are thrilled to report they have settled in beautifully. With this relocation comes the next phase of their development. We are proud to share that these Gems have already mastered two major milestones: utilizing the dog door and settling calmly in a closed crate. Evaluation & Enrollment Currently, the Warm Spice litter remains at our Sapphire Tier ($2,950). This is the ideal window for families who wish to be the primary architect of their puppy’s continued training and bonding. As these pups continue to meet our 4-Point Check milestones and progress in their crate and potty conditioning, they will eventually graduate to the Emerald Tier. Once a Gem advances, their enrollment investment increases to reflect their higher level of education and competency. Litter update on 17 Dec 2025 •…Milestone Update: The Warm Spice Litter has Advanced to Sapphire. At RockinDachs, our pricing reflects the development stage and curriculum level of each Companion. As of this week, the available puppies from the Warm Spice Litter (Brownie x Bear Cub) have officially graduated from the Garnet Tier (8 Weeks) to the Sapphire Tier (10 Weeks). What does Sapphire Level mean for you? These puppies have now completed two additional weeks of our "Silver Linings" curriculum. This is a critical developmental window where we shift focus from infant exposure to reinforced routines. - Extended Crate Conditioning: They are building duration and confidence in their resting spaces. Sleep Routines: They are settling into a more predictable rhythm, bridging the gap between "infant" and "companion." - Vaccinations: They have begun their second round of veterinary care. - Current Status: The Warm Spice puppies are now available at the Sapphire Tier ($3,850). Program update on 10 Dec 2025 •…A massive new chapter for RockinDachs. If you have noticed my replies coming at odd hours (or a little slower than usual), thank you for your patience. To say life has been a "whirlwind" is an understatement. Between chasing a busy 13-month-old, navigating family health challenges (ALS), and physically moving our entire life—and pack!—across state lines, things have been chaotic. But we have officially landed! New Location: We are now based in Cave Junction, Oregon. We have updated our location settings, so if you are local to the PNW, we are now your neighbors. The "Radiant Legacy" Rebrand: While things were quiet, we were busy building. RockinDachs has officially rebranded to reflect our commitment to Functional Health and Unwavering Character. We have updated our contracts and waitlist procedures to better protect our "Legacy Companions" and provide you with a clearer, safer path to bringing a puppy home. Litter update on 29 Sept 2025 •…A change in external family circumstances has lovingly brought two of our RockinDachs back into our care—and what treasures they are! Meet Hans and August (formerly Samson and Elijah from June and Harvey’s beautiful litter). These boys are a dynamic duo—sweet, affectionate, and brimming with the excellent, rock-solid temperament our foundation is built on. They returned simply because their previous owner's family decided having small, active dogs in the home was no longer safe for her as she aged. Since they've been together their whole lives, we hold the initial hope of finding them a single rock-solid family to cherish them both. Ultimately, our mission is about finding the absolute right fit for their bright futures. We'll happily consider two exceptional families if it means Hans and August can continue to thrive as the radiant, loyal companions they are destined to be. +7Shawnee was amazing. But beyond that, our little puppy is amazing complete wonder - she is beautiful, and so so smart. When our other two dogs passed, we had a large void in our life to fill. I am so thankful that we found Rockindachs for our family’s first ever daschund. Millie has been such an amazing little pup, and she is the perfect fit for our family.
