Q. & A. with Connie

  • Why did you start breeding?

I grew up with a crazy love for dogs of all breeds and my mother was in the sport of purebred dogs. She gave me a love for dogs and the sport. I am always looking to protect and preserve purebred breeds.
  • What makes your program special?

My dogs are health tested, and DNA certified. I have been breeding for 30 plus years and have a world of knowledge about my breeds. I carefully selected dogs that conform to the AKC standard for their breed, furthermore, I raise each and every litter using Early Neurological Stimulation on the puppies to help insure the best transition possible.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Chihuahua puppies include smooth and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Australian Shepherd puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Chihuahua puppies include sable spotted white, merle, chocolate, fawn, chocolate brindled fawn, chocolate sabled fawn, blue merle, blue and tan, black and tan, and fawn and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Connie raises beautiful, healthy puppies! She knows all about chihuahuas, and gave me a lot of advice on raising pups. Her puppies, according to my vet, are healthy, happy, and well-bred. Connie spent a lot of time acclamating her puppies to people and life away from their mom. She got my little one off to a great start. My puppy is a brave, happy, smart, confident, and curios little girl. She was kennel trained and knew her name in the first week. She learned "come" and "no" during week two. I can't believe how well she is doing with her potty training. She loves hanging out with my senior dogs, and loves playing with our cats. I believe all of this success is due to Connie's commitment to early neurological training. I know my next puppy will also be coming from Connie at RocktTop Hearts.
