I'm ChrisDean E., the breeder behind Sage Hill Cavaliers located in Tremonton, UT. This summarizes my passion with breeding: "We will chase perfection relentlessly, knowing all the while we can never attain it.But along the way, we shall catch excellence." Vince Lombardi. I check off all the health testing and puppy protocols and then I do more. I learn,I love, I catch excellence.
Q. & A. with ChrisDean
Why did you start breeding?
After my third child was born, I had health complications. I never thought I would ever have more children. So, we got our first dog, Gideon. I was fascinated by the passion of our breeder. I was also amazed at how healing a relationship with a dog could be. Years later I wanted to help others experience what I had.The Lord blessed me with an amazing mentor and I have enjoyed every step since.
What makes your program special?
Being a mother who homeschools, I have a unique situation with raising puppies. The puppies are literally apart of our family from day 1. Everything we do revolves around the puppies. We graph their growth for math. At 7 weeks we take them to nursing homes. We read stories to them. We snuggle with them while watching TV. Our puppies truly learn what it is like to be loved and to love in return.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blenheim, ruby, tri-color, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
