I'm Whitney W., the breeder behind Salt Creek Doodles located in Nephi, UT. We are lifelong dog enthusiasts, and we’re excited to share our passion and purpose with others through our breeding program. We are a small, in-home breeding program where we prioritize giving each dog and puppy the best care that we can. Q. & A. with Whitney
Why did you start breeding?
My journey into dog breeding began with a lifelong admiration for dogs and a deep curiosity about their history, structure, and temperament. From an early age, I was captivated by the diversity and purpose of different breeds, often studying the dog section of the encyclopedia and learning everything I could about their traits and origins. Over time, that early interest grew into active involvement—first through owning and training dogs, then through mentorship under experienced breeders who emphasized the importance of health, sound temperament, and breed preservation. These experiences inspired me to pursue breeding as a way to contribute positively to the future of the breeds I love, combining knowledge, care, and responsibility in every litter I raise.
What makes your program special?
My breeding program is built on a genuine love for dogs and a commitment to raising happy, healthy puppies. Every litter is carefully planned with attention to health, temperament, and breed standard. Puppies are raised in my home with plenty of care, socialization, and early training to help them grow into confident, well-adjusted companions.
What makes my program special is the personal attention each dog and puppy receives. I stay involved with new owners and continue learning and improving with every generation, always striving to do what’s best for the dogs and the breed I love.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Cavapoo puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies are blenheim. Cavapoo puppies include red, blenheim, white, and apricot. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

These little pups are excellent at snuggling! We practiced their snuggling skills (like we do every night and all day for that matter) on the couch this time!

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
