I'm Akza M., the breeder behind Saltair Australian Shepherds located in Gilbert, AZ. It is with great pleasure that we work to create an Aussie that families can raise in their homes. Those of us who love Aussies can’t imagine a more perfect breed of dog. These special dogs deserve special owners who will give time and commitment. Why did you start breeding?
We come from a multi-generational breeding family, our first Aussie litter was whelped after years of extensive research in the breed for diseases, coat genetics, and OFA testing.What makes your program special?
We aim to provide genetically tested offspring. Our main goal is to provide a well bred Aussie that can be raised either as a companion or a working dog. Aussies should be versatile and we want to make that our goal for every person who is willing to take on such a special breed.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Akza has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Akza partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Adoption includes the following items: vet exam after birth, docking & removal of dews, immunizations & worming, bill of good health & vet record, registration documents, food supply & treats, puppy pad, leash/collar/harness, travel bowl, puppy blanket with mom’s scent, welcome packet with our tips & tricks for basic obedience training. We socialize and desensitize all puppies in our home with small children and other adult dogs. Full rights can be obtained at no extra cost. Our kennel name must be used for all registration documentation. ”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
PawPrint Genetic Panel (Breed Specific)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
