I'm Janet S., the breeder behind Sampson Labrador Retrievers located in Live Oak, FL. We offer quality bred family dogs. We hand raise each of our puppies to ensure a reliable temperament & cherished companionship. We are proud of our small family kennel. For the past 32 years, we have been enjoying our dogs in the show ring, obedience trials, retrieving duck, and therapy work. I strive for a well-rounded Labrador; great temperament for the family pet, working ability for the competitive show world, and correct conformation for the breed ring. I am confident in my lines and offer a health guarantee. I plan each litter with a future goal in mind to produce healthy, happy puppies with each generation.
Q. & A. with Janet
Why did you start breeding?
In 1988, I joined the South Florida Labrador Retriever Club and had the opportunity to show and hunt with great mentors. I thoroughly enjoyed obedience trials and therapy work with our dogs. I decided that I wanted to develop my own breeding program and share my love of Labs with others. I have now been breeding for more than 30 years.
What makes your program special?
We care not only about the health and structure of our dogs, but also about their temperament and emotional needs. Great care is taken in the puppy raising process to set them up for successful adulthood. Decisions are made that align with our goals of great conformation, ability to excel in performance, and creating a wonderful life-long companion.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and chocolate. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
