Meet the breeder

I'm Melissa D., the breeder behind Side Kix Australian Cattle Dogs located in Cummings, ND. We raise health tested ACDs for show, working, or companionship. We have both blue and red dogs. We only breed once a year because we want to give our dogs the best life we can. These dogs are so talented and we want to make sure they have the tools they need to thrive in life.

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Primary Lens Luxation (PLL)

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
