I'm Samantha R., the breeder behind SJR AUSSIES located in San Tan Valley, AZ. We are conscientious in our breeding practices, and we breed for health, temperament, drive, and ability. We want our dogs to be biddable and able to succeed wherever they are needed, as well as to thrive in their homes with their families.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My journey into breeding Australian Shepherds began with one simple truth. I fell in love with the breed. Their intelligence, loyalty, and boundless energy immediately drew me in, but it was their heart that kept me hooked. Once I experienced that connection firsthand, I knew I wanted to share it with others. Every litter I raise is planned with care and purpose.

  • What makes your program special?

    For me, breeding Australian Shepherds isn’t a business, it’s a passion. I believe in quality over quantity, in transparency with owners, and in lifelong support for every puppy that leaves my home. They do noise exposure therapy, lots of socialization, and different environments. I put my heart and soul into ensuring that every puppy is confident, healthy, and ready for their forever family.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red & white, black & white, red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Samantha

Samantha has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Samantha partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $1,750 - $2,550 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes first round of vaccines, a puppy pack (bag with food, toy, blanket, and thank you card), AKC registration packet, and a folder of take home information. Deposits in non-refundable as I turn away other buyers but can be transferred to another pup if available!”

Contract & health guarantee

Samantha may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Samantha was absolutely amazing! I contacted her before Storm was even pregnant and she let me know as soon as she knew she was pregnant and as soon as babies started arriving. From day one until Izzie came home she would update me on how she was doing and sending pictures. With timing for our family, Samantha actually kept our dog Izzie for an extra week more than the other puppies and we couldn’t thank her enough!! Since Izzie came home she has adjusted so well! Shes slept through the night since the first day, already learned basic commands after 4 days with us and is doing well potty training with only a few accidents. I can’t recommend Samantha enough!!!

    Samantha was wonderful to work with. Advised me of some extra fees that Good Dog charges prior to deposit. She sent pictures of the progress of my puppy at least a couple times a week. And spoke with her also. She even did a DNA test I sent her prior to picking up my pup. Very pleased with her and my puppy, Pepper. Pepper is a really good dog and easy to train, slept all night since I got her.
