I'm Samantha R., the breeder behind SJR AUSSIES located in San Tan Valley, AZ. We are conscientious in our breeding practices, and we breed for health, temperament, drive, and ability. We want our dogs to be biddable and able to succeed wherever they are needed, as well as to thrive in their homes with their families.

Why did you start breeding?
My journey into breeding Australian Shepherds began with one simple truth. I fell in love with the breed. Their intelligence, loyalty, and boundless energy immediately drew me in, but it was their heart that kept me hooked. Once I experienced that connection firsthand, I knew I wanted to share it with others. Every litter I raise is planned with care and purpose.What makes your program special?
For me, breeding Australian Shepherds isn’t a business, it’s a passion. I believe in quality over quantity, in transparency with owners, and in lifelong support for every puppy that leaves my home. They do noise exposure therapy, lots of socialization, and different environments. I put my heart and soul into ensuring that every puppy is confident, healthy, and ready for their forever family.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red & white, black & white, red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Samantha partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“The price includes first round of vaccines, a puppy pack (bag with food, toy, blanket, and thank you card), AKC registration packet, and a folder of take home information. Deposits in non-refundable as I turn away other buyers but can be transferred to another pup if available!”

Program update on 14 Apr •…They got an upgraded area today! They all loved having more space to run around. We have two potty mats to help with the transition. Still love dog food and trying to figure out how to drink water lol!

Program update on 09 Apr •Puppies are almost 4 weeks! They tried puppy mush (watered down blended dog food) and they LOVED it! They also got to play with some new toys. They were a little unsure about those! We are on day 2 of potty training and they are crushing it. These puppies are some smart animals!

Program update on 30 Mar •…Puppy pictures have been updated 🤍 They are now two weeks old. Almost all eyes are open and they are learning how to get up on their feet! Such big milestones!

Program update on 26 Mar •…Puppies are growing like weeds! Seriously they are fatter every hour. I plan to get updated pictures when they open their eyes (hopefully any day now)! They are starting to scoot around faster and faster. It’s crazy how fast time is going already. Anytime now we will be starting to see some personality come out in these little pups! They get to go home May 9th/10th and I know they already can’t wait. We have a few more male puppies who would love to find their forever home too! Thanks for following SJR Aussies 🐶

Litter update on 23 Oct 2025 •…Eight weeks old and our beautiful pups are starting their new adventures! 🐾 So far, 4 puppies have gone to their forever homes and 2 more tomorrow. Per owners, they are thriving with crate training and potty training—one owner even said this is the best potty-trained dog she’s had! 💛 We always start the go-home routine with a fresh bath, which the puppies handle like pros. Then we pack up their go-home bags with all the essentials, and off they go! Our goal is to make this transition as smooth and joyful as possible for both pups and their new families. 🏡🐶

Litter update on 14 Oct 2025 •…Beautiful pups are almost 7 weeks old. They have stopped nursing and growing better than ever! We had a storm here and pups have enjoyed playing in the rain and bath time after! Their favorite time of day is playtime. They love to chew my shoelaces and lick toes! This is the most fun age! We have 4 furry friends left to find their forever home. Our other pups have found the most perfect loving homes and its almost time for them to go 😭

Copper is a well tempered Aussie. He loves going for walks around the neighborhood. He enjoys playing in his water trough while he is drinking. He really is a goofball. Copper is a gentle giant that just wants attention and forgets he is so big.

Storm is an absolute sweetheart. She loves going for razor rides especially to get pup cups. She talks every time we walk past just waiting for some attention. She wants her belly rubbed and cuddles every second of the day.

+4Samantha was wonderful to work with. Advised me of some extra fees that Good Dog charges prior to deposit. She sent pictures of the progress of my puppy at least a couple times a week. And spoke with her also. She even did a DNA test I sent her prior to picking up my pup. Very pleased with her and my puppy, Pepper. Pepper is a really good dog and easy to train, slept all night since I got her.

Samantha has been amazing! From the beginning she responded immediately, she was so caring and informative. My daughter’s 11 year old Maltese had just passed away so this decision was a delicate one for us and Samantha was so caring and answered all our questions. We received frequent updates, pictures and videos as we waited to meet Willow Jade. The day finally came when we got to meet our precious girl and bring her home, the transition was perfect, because Samantha truly puts her heart into her pups, she sent us home with a personalized bag, with medical records, puppy food, teething toy, poopy bags and a blankie with mama’s scent, how sweet is that. And we couldn’t have asked for a sweeter and loving girl, she’s even potty trained, for being so young she is so well behaved! +6Samantha could not have been better! We picked our pup when she was only a few days old and Samantha made sure to call our girl by the name we chose, so she already knew her name. She made sure we got constant photos and exciting updates the entire time we waited for her to come home. I was so impressed with how well-adjusted our sweet girl was when she finally came home. In one week she’s only had 2 small potty accidents and she already rings the bell to go outside. She’s not afraid of the vacuum or loud noises, and she started sleeping through the night after only a few days. I credit Samantha and the thoughtful ways she preps her pups for their forever homes. We adopted a puppy for the first time from Reeds Ranch. Samantha was amazing. We were impressed by her prompt replies to our questions, her knowledge of the Australian Shepherd breed and her genuine love for her dogs. We had an issue with our payment but Samantha was patient and understanding as we worked it out.
