I'm Tarah H., the breeder behind SmashBox Kennel located in Piedmont, SC. We are dedicated to offering healthy, loving pets! We are focusing on improving the overall standard and health of the breed. Our dogs and puppies are lovingly raised in our home as part of our family so we can prepare them to be wonderful additions to yours. Our goal at SmashBox Kennels is to ensure we are breeding healthy, happy dogs that make wonderful family companions!

Why did you start breeding?
I have always loved dogs and was excited to establish my breeding program. I have enjoyed the journey, and I am a proud breeder with a focus on temperament and the overall mental and physical health of my puppies. I am passionate about placing happy, healthy puppies with loving families.What makes your program special?
We raise all of our dogs with love in our home. We have high expectations for our puppies and make sure to place each one in an enriching and loving home that will match their temperament and personality!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include fawn and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Tarah has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price
Puppy prices include a $535 non-refundable deposit and between $1,965 - $2,465 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Health Guarantee.. Sale contract.. Akc papers .. care package.. breed specific literature... week supply of food... microchip... other goodies toys etc. 250 to join our waitlist. 250 to pick pup once born. Total of 500 deposit. If place a deposit ona puppy already born, the total deposit amount of $500 is. The additional 35 dollars is for good dogs fees of 6.5%.”

Tarah may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Cardiac Evaluation
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Tarah was so friendly and knowledgeable about the boxer breed! I have owned/raised boxers my whole life so as far as the breed I was already sold, but it’s so important to know the breeder is trust worthy and just a good person. Tarah is very energetic and enthusiastic about the breed. She was sweet and kind to all the puppies and adult dogs in her care. I know that may sound silly but to me it’s important to know the background of the person who made first contact with your puppy. She is organized and clear with instructions on signing the contract, payments, how to register with AKC and upcoming vet visits. Our sweet Ellie-May became a part of our family November 9th and she’s been nothing but laughs. She’s highly intelligent. She picked up potty training with the use of a bell on the door within about 5 days with only a few accidents inside when we didn’t get to the door quick enough. She understands basics commands sit, stay, here, fetch & wait. We make her wait and sit at the food bowl until we say “nose goes” and touch her nose, then she eats. Genetically she’s very healthy vet said she’s going to be a big girl probably around 70 lbs. She’s 6 months and weighs 50lbs. She is absolutely beautiful! We couldn’t be happier about choosing Tarah and VonSmashbox boxers!
