I'm Tammy W., the breeder behind Snuffles-n-More Labrador's located in Paris, TX. I offer quality Labrador Retriever pups for families who share the same love and passion that I do for these lovely companions. I want to make the transition from my loving home to yours as seamless as possible by giving personal attention to each little pup to ensure it is well-rounded and prepared to excel in its forever home. Each puppy goes through desensitizing test, different sounds and smells as well as the Volhard temperament test for better placement. It would be my pleasure to introduce you to your next companion! Not sure, and have questions please feel free to reach out to me.
Q. & A. with Tammy
Why did you start breeding?
This is my first liter to breed. I honestly never thought about it until recently. I have always had Labradors and had one that always alarmed me before my daughter had seizures when she was younger. I grew up without having one hand and was in a serious car accident that lead me to very limited use of my good hand. Living on disability, there was no way I could afford a service dog. They can range on up to $35k. I have trained my dog to open doors, throw away the trash , pick up my phone or things that I drop due to neuropathy. Searching for this companion took awhile because I was looking for a calm Labrador. HaHa, Right!! Sabrina (Dam) is very loving , attentive, and calm, and eager to please. But if you want to go play she is ready. So knowing after several introductions of puppies that breeding for calmness, attentiveness is really important.
What makes your program special?
I believe we are special because we hope to deliver a set of calm labradores. This is so that they can be trained for those with PTSD, and other special needs like myself. Snuffles -n-more will also train and donate a puppy to someone of these needs but would never be able to afford it. However, the goal is for all of them to be trainable for our soldiers, children, and adults with all areas of needing that true companion and depending on them without large costs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are chocolate. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
