I'm Dana M., the breeder behind Southwest Mountain Boxers located in Northern Arizona, AZ. Our dogs are our passion, and we can't imagine spending our lives without them. We are dedicated to achieving excellence and healthy family pets, and we love to raise puppies and prepare them for their forever homes.

Why did you start breeding?
Ellie was diagnosed with Boxer Cardio Myopathy at 2, she lived to 8. That is when the passion to breed health tested boxer was born.
What makes your program special?
I am constantly researching on what helps the breed to have better health and temperaments. I love on, talk to and handle the pups daily. I do ESI and ENS training as I think it has a big impact on their health and temperaments. I expose them to a dog door, crate, sound, different textures, and start on potty training. They are also receiving NuVet in their puppy food.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include fawn and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Dana partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $3,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Dana may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
