I'm Laura W., the breeder behind Spirit Mountain Rottweilers located in New Castle, CO. We breed to the ARC standard and have the dog's best intentions at heart. We don't breed often, and breed for ourselves first. We dedicate our time to ensuring we are going the extra mile for every breeding. We are members of the American Rottweiler Club and follow all the mandatory practices.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We had an outstanding Rottweiler female with an exceptional pedigree, temperament, and health clearances that we used for our foundation. She produced 1 litter of 12 going ARC silver producer. I am an ARC sweepstake judge, ARC carting judge, and AKC CGC and ATT evaluator
  • What makes your program special?

    We are code of ethic breeders following all the mandatory practices Our puppies are raised in home with Puppy culture socialization. Health is a concern so we test all our breeding stock and guarantee free from genetic disease
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include between $2,500 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Brucellosis

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Juvenile Laryngeal Paralysis & Polyneuropathy (JLPP)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
