Little toots had to move into the bigger whelping box, they kept getting out of the pool. To smart for their own good. They are eating and growing, Momma has decided to slow down in their access to the milk bar but I've been adding puppy milk replacer to their Diamond puppy food. They tried water some more today and were dewormed again. We're half way to 8 weeks and go home time!

Sherry B.
Litter registration had been submitted with the AKC, so papers will arrive in the mail within the next few weeks. Plenty of time to arrive before go home date 😉 I also include a vet record booklet so transfer from our vet to yours is easier.

Pups are weighing over 2 pounds ea now, closer to 2.5# They are eating "gruel" (mush) and making big messes. I soak Diamond for large breed puppies in hot water, smoosh it up and add puppy milk replacer until it's like a thick oatmeal consistency, as time goes on I will slowly leave it more lumpy until it's just the dry food soaked in water to soften. They took dewormer like champs with no fuss. The addition of "solid" food had increased their output of waste too so we are entering the eat poop & sleep stage with some play sprinkle in. Currently they have stuffed toys, a squeaker, one with crinkle sounding plastic inside and the soft jingle ball. They enjoy playing with as well as sleeping on them. Lol

Sherry B.
Puppies are weighing between 1.87 and 1.46 pounds as of today. Their eyes are open and they walk, still kind of wobbly but still impressive for their little legs. 16 days old today.

Sherry B.
I must apologize to everyone interested in the upcoming litter from Delta & Maverick, on GoodDog I have the expected date accurate on Nov 11th but in several message responses I've said the 24th.... they are in fact due around the 12th, I just had the 24th in my mind somehow. Fortunately I rechecked my dates because she has been seeming closer than 3 weeks and realized my blunder.

Sherry B.
Day 4 of their 5 day regimen of dewormer, they don't like it but so far they haven't been awful about taking it Yaye for me lol They are gradually becoming more vocal when they need or want something as well as during play. I have trimmed everyone's nails and I urge you to do the same like every week or bi weekly. I say this because their Dad hates his nails trimmed, I ended up in the hospital 4 months during his big puppy days and wasn't able to clip them per my usual and his now takes a week or 2..... just letting me get 1 nail at a time occasionally 2 but he's still the very best boy so I overlook his 1 less than favorable behavior. lol we look forward to meeting all of you. Well start nailing down times

Maverick and Sasha's litter

Today was our 6 week vet check appointment! We weighed between 8 pounds up to 11.5 pounds, everyone is starting a 5 days of pancur dewormer. They are all eating their Diamond Naturals for large breed puppies food, I do still soak it to soften it. Currently eating 6-8 times a day. Momma is still nursing them but she's always in a hurry to get out ( those teeth I bet).

Sherry B.
Thought I would share a video of the "temporary containment " we use in order to take the whole whelping box outside to be cleaned & disinfected. They are sweet, fun, love able and gorgeous but whew they do get messy 😉

They are now eating soaked until it's soft puppy food! Guess Mommas milk has kept them to full to be interested in it until today.

Sherry B.
These beautiful babies have learned how to climb out of the kiddie pool next to me in the bedroom so they've have upgraded into the larger more spacious whelping box in the living room. They can't climb out of it unless we leave the door open. They are smart, enjoy pets & absolutely love being talked to.

Sherry was wonderful to work with. I live out of state so I was initially concerned with doing anything online. Sherry made me feel more comfortable as all communication and payments were done through Good Dog. Our communication was constant after our first interaction and Sherry was great about keeping me up to date on my baby. Sherry made the pick up very easy. I flew from out of state. Sherry met me at the airport. My beautiful boy is almost 14 months and is perfect. Thank you, Sherry!

St. John's Boxer Butts (Sherry Barnett) has been exceptional through the whole process of purchasing my Boxer puppy Wilson. Sherry sent me updated photos, comments, and QUICKLY answered any questions I had or any request for updates / photos. When it was time to pick up my puppy, Sherry met me at the Little Rock airport with his shot records and AKC registration paperwork. I never felt worried about anything like payments, health of puppy, or scared something might happen and I would not get a puppy or the puppy I picked from the Good Dog website. I highly recommend St. John's Boxer Butts for a beautiful, healthy puppy!

This was my first time working with a breeder after discovering my love for boxers. I was nervous as I've always rescued in the past. But after meeting and falling in love with a boxer, I knew I needed to always have them in my life. Discovering Sherry's profile put every fear I've had of 'breeders' to rest. She deeply cares for all of her dogs and raises the puppies with such love and dedication. She was easy to work with and chatting with her made me feel secure as I could tell she genuinely loves boxers. She does everything possible to make sure your puppy is loved and healthy! She's always quick to respond and answer any questions! I've raised a few dogs from puppies and this baby boy is absolutely the most confident and secure pup I've had. We bonded and fell in love instantly. I was worried he would be sad and cry after leaving his loving litter life. Not once! He melted into my arms and was ready to start his new life! I could tell that it's because Sherry knows this breed so well, she knows how to make sure you end up with a healthy and happy baby from day one!! I know eventually we will want to add another. I will 100% look to Sherry first. I cannot recommend her enough!

Sherry is very knowledgeable of the breed and quick to respond to any questions or updates. She provided some comfort items from home and a bag of food to help our new puppy settle in and you can tell she takes great care of her puppies!
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
