I'm Barbara B., the breeder behind The Bakery located in Sacramento, CA. We are lifelong dog enthusiasts, and we’re excited to share our passion and purpose with others through our breeding program. Our dogs are our passion, and we can't imagine spending our lives without them. We are dedicated to achieving excellence and healthy family pets, and we love to raise puppies and prepare them for their forever homes.

Why did you start breeding?
Everything started with my blue merle Coconut. I did my due diligence on the breeder and went to meet the litter. They only had merles. Coconut was the runt and seemed to fit my lifestyle. Once home, he started with ever-increasing guarding behavior. Coconut is not part of our breeding program, but he is the reason we are committed to never sacrificing temperament, health, and structure over color.What makes your program special?
We measure no expense to produce the healthiest and highest quality of Frenchies and Boxers. They may not have fad colors, but they are indeed loaded with health, temperament, and structure, inherited from champions and grand champions.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our French Bulldog puppies include brindle, cream, fawn, white, black and tan, blue fawn, blue, and brindle and white. Boxer puppies include fawn and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Penny is a beautiful boxer with an impressive pedigree — she comes from the renowned Wilma line, with Wilma being the most awarded boxer since the 1950s. But beyond her lineage, Penny is everything you'd expect from a classic boxer and more. She’s a lovable goofball with a playful spirit and an incredibly sweet temperament. Penny is especially gentle and attentive around children — a natural babysitter with a heart of gold. Like most boxers, she thrives on companionship and prefers not to be left alone for long periods. She’s happiest when she's part of the action, whether it's lounging by your side or bounding around in play.

Cardiac Evaluation
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Factor VIII Deficiency, Boxer Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Full Embark Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
