I'm Stefanie E., the breeder behind The Cav Family located in Moses Lake, WA. We love to responsibly raise and train our puppies so they have the tools to be well-rounded, socilaized family members. Raising puppies has been so much fun, although we take our role in raising them seriously. Breeding has helped us share the joy of our dogs with other families and individuals.
Q. & A. with Stefanie
Why did you start breeding?
Growing up my parents raised Blue Great Danes and Cocker Spaniels. To be honest I really actually never planned to ever raise dogs. However when I came across our Cavaliers I knew that I had to continue the amazing lines and work hard to keep the lines healthy. My daughter wanted to get an AKC cavalier to show in the junior department so at that time we looked for a family member to join us who would be used for showing & our program has grown since then.
What makes your program special?
All of our puppies are raised in our home and very well socialized. We take the health and well being of our dogs seriously. Each of our parents are health tested and we breed based on temperaments. Of course they are beyond adorable.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Cavapoo puppies are toy size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies include blenheim, ruby, tri-color, and black and tan. Cavapoo puppies include black and white, red, and apricot. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Stefanie was so amazing during this process! She walked us through everything we needed to do to prepare for our puppy. We didn’t know much about the breed but Stefanie was very knowledgeable and responsive through the whole process. You can tell she cares a lot about her puppies!
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
