Scott L.

Breeder of Australian Cattle Dogs

Meet the breeder

I'm Scott L., the breeder behind The Sweet Kennels located in Monroe, LA. It is our goal to help ensure the future of the breed through responsibly breeding our exceptional dogs. Our mission as breeders is to preserve the integrity of the Australian Cattle Dogs. For this reason, we only breed occasionally when we’re sure we’re producing a litter that meets breed standards.

Q. & A. with Scott

  • Why did you start breeding?

Breeding dogs and raising quality puppies play a vital role in preserving the heritage of a breed. I take pleasure in planning and raising my puppies to achieve my personal goals and to bring the joy of a high-quality puppy to new families.
  • What makes your program special?

At TheSweet Kennels, our breeding program is unique because we only have a couple of litters each year. We collaborate with other breeders and mentors to ensure that our lines are of high quality, health-tested, and have the drive and temperament that the Australian Cattle Dog is known for.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
