I'm Susan T., the breeder behind Tru-Heart Labradors, LLC located in Middleburg, FL. We take pride in the fastidious, loving, and stimulating environment in which our puppies are raised. By adhering to a scientifically-proven breeding philosophy, we ensure Tru-Heart puppies are born with sound temperaments, aesthetically-pleasing conformation, good bone and genetic health and vigor.

Why did you start breeding?
Tru-Heart Labradors was founded nearly 20 years ago out of love for the breed and with the intent of producing the highest-quality Labrador Retriever puppies available in Florida. We have a combined total of 60+ years of experience in raising and training dogs of all breeds, but the Labrador Retriever breed stole our hearts! First and foremost, we breed to strengthen and continue our breeding program. We produce well-rounded Labrador Retrievers to become family and personal companions, but they are also suited for service, obedience, agility, rally, and field work.What makes your program special?
Since 2005, Tru-Heart Labradors has practiced selective breeding to produce puppies with wonderful temperaments (the hallmark of this breed) working ability, breed-standard conformation, and good looks. Tru-Heart puppies have matured to become service dogs, emotional support dogs, hunting dogs, show dogs (with Tru-Heart approval), and terrific family pets.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
Getting a puppy from Susan
Susan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,250 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price is for Limited AKC Registration. Full Registration can be discussed on a case-by-case basis for an addtional fee and special contractual requirements. The balance due is payable on Puppy Visitation Day when the puppy is 5 weeks old.”
Contract & health guarantee
Susan may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
