I'm Shante T., the breeder behind Tully’s Cattledogs located in Rock Point, AZ. Our dogs are bred for health & temperaments to work cattle.
Q. & A. with Shante
Why did you start breeding?
I got interested in breeding cattledogs because I got my girl, Billie after my first cattledog Rory passed away. Billie is a great cattledog & worked cows so well so I thought I’d breed her, I met a friend who is a breeder & taught me everything I know now, very thankful for her! She got me to test & register my females before any planned breedings, I did it all with the help of her knowledge!
What makes your program special?
I think what makes my breeding program special is that my cattledogs are hard workers, in the heat they work, in the cold they work. I admire every move my dogs make, I LOVE that I live on a ranch to see my cattledogs work to their full potential. With success of my first litter of cattledog puppies, they were started on sheep & did so well!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red speckled, blue speckled, and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
