Meet the breeder

I'm Lynette B., the breeder behind Von Brennan kennels located in Oroville, CA. We decided to start a responsible, in-home breeding program in order to produce quality working dogs that also fit into a home setting. These dogs can do it all, and we make sure to foster that versatility in our puppies beginning from the moment they're born.

Q. & A. with Lynette

  • What makes your program special?

We concentrate on the total Rottweiler we strive to produce puppies that will grow to be able to work as well as win in the show ring. Our puppies are not couch potatoes but they should be able to relax in the house after a nice exercise/training session. We strive for a balanced dog that can be social with the proper training and socialization, but are confident and protective.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Lynette

Lynette has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Lynette partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

“Because we breed mainly for working ability, it is important to us that we match the right temperament with the life style of the family. Not all of our puppies will be high drive working dogs, since we tend to breed our high drive dogs to confirmation CH to improve the confirmation of our pups, or vise versa. This does not mean we breed our dogs to low drive confirmation dogs, these dogs still have IPO/IGP III titles at the least. With that being said, it is imperative that our puppy buyers will be able to provide these puppies with what they need. Not every home is ideal for our pups and we will not sell to just anyone. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 refundable deposit and between $3,700 - $5,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

“All of our puppies have a health guarantee for a LIFETIME. If the pup passes all health testing as a 2 year old then it won't change as the dog get older. All pups are reg with AKC, have 2 vaccines, 3 deworming, health check by a vet, health record, and clean fecal test. A deposit is needed in order to hold a pup for you out of the specific litter that's available. If for some reason a puppy isn't claimed the deposit could be transferred to another litter if desired.”

Contract & health guarantee

Lynette may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Lynette offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Lynette directly.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Juvenile Laryngeal Paralysis & Polyneuropathy (JLPP)

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
