Kayla has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Kayla partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
"Puppies are handled extensively every single day, and beginning at around five weeks we will work with puppies individually 2-3x a week. At 7 weeks old, puppies will receive a formal Volhard temperament test performed by a 3rd party trainer. Then they'll have their vet exam where they'll receive a comprehensive physical exam with the goal being to uncover any and all abnormalities that could present at that age (heart murmur, umbilical hernia, undescended testicles, recessed vulva, etc.). We will then take all of the information from our training sessions, temperament tests, and vet exam and match the puppy that best suits the wants and needs of each family. If it is determined we don't have a puppy that is the right fit for a family, we will refund the deposit"

"Price includes - AKC Registration 30 Month Health Guarantee AKC Reunite Microchip 30 Days of Trupanion Pet Insurance Age appropriate vaccines and wellness puppy exam. Deposit will hold a puppy of your gender preference. Puppy selections will be made at approx. 7 weeks during a "matchmaking" process, to ensure each family gets the puppy best suited for their needs."
Kayla may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Kayla offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Kayla directly.

About Eve
Eve is a titled UKC Hunting Retriever that we purchased in December of 2021. She had plenty of drive and desire to please. She worked her first season as a guide dog for the 22'-23' waterfowl season and we look forward to seeing her develop and mature in her new job this next season. Eve has puppies currently working at detection K9s for multiple police departments, multiple competing in hunt tests and working as hunting dogs, and plenty living as wonderful family pets.
Labrador Retriever
About Viper
Viper is as sweet of a dog as they come. She loves to play, but loves her people and getting affection even more. She reads the room exceptionally well - she knows when it's an appropriate time to be rowdy and goofy, and when it's time to cuddle up on the couch. She is a very balanced dog that is lovely to include in family activities. Though petite, she is structurally very correct and that will be a fantastic attribute to ensure longevity. She should stay fit and healthy for a very long time!
Labrador Retriever
About Journey
Journey is the epitome of what a Labrador is supposed to be. She’s happy, confident, and doesn’t know a stranger! Journey loves to retrieve, lives for attention, and is all around an easy dog to be around. She currently has puppies from her first litter in a wide variety of homes - including one working for the police department as a therapy dog in schools, several competition retrievers in hunt test homes, and several as wonderful family pets. Journey also comes from a very special bloodline, She is the last living offspring of Abe's Ebony and Ivory - Eba. Eba was the 1998 National Field Champion - the most accomplished retriever in the country for that year. Journey was conceived using the very last frozen semen available from him - and she was the only puppy.

About Moxie
Moxie is a female Labrador Retriever. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Kayla decided to make her part of their program. Kayla has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

About Britney
Britney is one of the most balanced, and stable dogs that we own. She is happy to go out and work, but also has no issue just hanging out and being a pet. She's goofy, always happy, and has never met a stranger. She has traveled to dog training seminars with me over the years, and has been used as a "loaner dog" for dog trainers traveling over from Europe that are unable to bring their own dog. Her ability to adjust to a new handler effortlessly and learn via a variety of learning styles and techniques is her best quality.

About Lori
We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to add Lori to our breeding program in the fall of 2025. She has numerous FC/AFC/QA2 siblings, and has already produced a male that has achieved his field trial championship. She is high drive, as stable and balanced in temperament as you can get, and I expect her to produce top of the line field trial, hunt test, and detection dogs. Her puppies would also be well suited as active family pets and hunting dogs.

About Bumble
Bumble was born here at Wheatland and is a daughter of our very first lab, Blair. Bumble is everything we ever dreamed to produce with our program. She is highly intelligent, is tireless in her work ethic, she is beyond gentle with our newborn and 2 year old human children, and is a joy to include in every kind of family outing, vacation, or in the duck blind during waterfowl season.
