Q. & A. with Carla

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got my first ACD 7 years ago and fell in love with the breed. I’ve recently gotten into showing our dogs in conformation with the AKC and we fall in love more and more with every puppy we have!
  • What makes your program special?

We have a small program that currently consist of 3 dogs. We treat our dogs as part of the family and they are able to experience a lot of different activities on our extensive acreage. Our puppies are raised inside our home, then brought outside in the daytime when weather permits! they are exposed to many different things and well socialized.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Carla is absolutely amazing! She’s incredibly responsive and always takes the time to answer every question. Her knowledge of the breed is outstanding, which is so important when choosing an ACD. You can truly see the difference in how well her dogs are bred and the work she puts into them from the very beginning. Her love and dedication to these pups is evident from the time they’re born and even after they go home with their new families. I couldn’t be happier that I went through Carla to get my dream dog, Ranger 🤎

Carla is a wonderful human. She was responsive, kind and empathetic, and gave a neophyte like myself detailed and reassuring information in a timely manner…all while expecting and HAVING her own new addition to her family. I highly recommend Carla, I adore our Winnie. Winifred is a beautiful, healthy and high energy holy terror that speaks to the high quality of her parentage and the environment at Carla’s home that Winnie was born into.

Our experience with Carla has been wonderful. She’s very responsive, and gets back with you so quickly. She has answered all of our questions, and there were a lot. We couldn’t be more happy with our new Lyla girl- she is playful, happy, eats like a champ, and already asked to go out to the bathroom , because Carla started training in her home. It was obvious that the puppies were loved. No doubt that if we decide to get another puppy, we’ll be going back to Carla. This was truly a fantastic experience for us.

My experience working with Carla to find the right pup for my lifestyle was wonderful! Carla is a lovely human and graciously answered all my many questions both before and after bringing my pup home. Tova is my pup and she is so confident. She is the perfect mix of wild and sweet! Shes been great with people and other dogs which was really important to me. We are so happy that we are already planning on getting another pup from Carla. Thanks Carla 💜
