Meet the breeder

I'm Brenda E., the breeder behind Far Out Aussies located in Yucca, AZ. We breed ASCA (Australian Shepherd Club of America) registered, DNA health tested Australian Shepherds. Our Aussie pups are born in our home and socialized with children, cats, horses, and other dogs. We transition to outside play/overnight stays in our enclosed, protected kennel when age appropriate and weather permits. We do not dock tails unless requested by the buyer at birth. Some of our pups have natural bobtails and others have full tails.

Q. & A. with Brenda

  • Why did you start breeding?

Coming from a background of breeding registered Paint Horses, I decided I would love to further our breed by producing beautiful, healthy, athletic and family-friendly Aussies.
  • What makes your program special?

I raise my pups in my home before transitioning them to outdoor farm life. They are handled daily by myself and my kids. They learn to explore the yard with their mom and do chores feeding the horses morning and evening. They play in the haystack, tumble around in the sand pile, and sleep in the shade during nap times.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Brenda is truly awesome! She was extremely good with communication and sent pictures of my baby every week!! She would send updates and any questions I had during the process! I’ve never gotten a pup through a breeder before and I was really nervy about it, but she made it easy and relaxing! She breeds dogs! Tundra is my Aussie that I got in April and she is absolutely gorgeous!! She is well behaved and easy to train! My vets say that her bloodline is great and her genetics are great! I would suggest to get your next Aussie pup from Brenda I promise you won’t regret it!

Brenda is one of the best breeders I have worked with in 25+ years of buying and raising different breeds of dogs. She is very committed to sharing updates about your puppy and answering any questions or concerns. If there are any issues she will work out a resolution where both parties are happy. I truly believe she cares about the customer experience and providing quality pups.

I began looking for a puppy and found Far out Aussies on Good dog. I contacted Brenda and she responded right away and invited me to visit and view the puppies. I had a lot of questions and she had a lot of answers. Brenda was very open and ready to share her knowledge. I went out and visited the puppies and got aquatinted with Brenda and her dogs. The puppies were about 4 or 5 weeks at the time. I chose a puppy they had named Star. I decided to keep the name and made my deposit on GoodDog. Everything went very smooth and Brenda sent me pictures and videos of Star as I waited for her to grow and mature to 8 weeks. When I picked up Star, Brenda had everything ready to go. She had a folder of all her vet information, she walked me thru registration of Stars microchip and gave us a blanket and toy for Star that had her mom’s scent on it. Also a bag of puppy food was included. Over all a great experience and we have stayed in contact. Star is a year old now and such a wonderful dog. She is super intelligent and quick to learn.A total sweetheart!
