Q. & A. with Melissa
Why did you start breeding?
My mom got a schnauzer when I was a teenager from a breeder of champion lines back in Ohio. She kept that line which focused on the standards of the miniature schnauzer. Our lines are direct from hers. However, our goal is to be a preservation breeder who focuses on improving and adhering to the original standards of the breed. We do not breed often.
What makes your program special?
Our focus on the health and standards of the miniature schnauzer. We believe that the amount of time, socialization, and training we put into our puppies is of the upmost importance and will help the transition of your puppy into your family and home.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include salt and pepper, black and silver, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

I can't say enough good things about Melissa. She was great to work with and gave lots of advice for training my puppy. She followed up on how things were going. If you have any questions, she always gets back with you quickly. Puppy is settling in nicely. Like all puppies, he has such energy. She cares so much for here puppies and makes sure they are going to a good home and it works for them. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a mini schnauzer. Nothing but a positive experience here.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
