I'm Tai N., the breeder behind Halo Boxers located in Milliken, CO. I have been breeding boxers since '05. I don't have many litters but when I do everyone is fully health tested, temperament approved before any and all breeding's. All puppies are vet checked by our vet, loved in our home, and very well taken care of.
Q. & A. with Tai
Why did you start breeding?
I honestly fell into it. I wanted to get into showing and just went from there. I am very picky on my breeding's and work with others to learn pedigrees, history, and temperament. I am always open to learning more, and getting ideas from others.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Ziggy
Ziggy is energetic even at 7 years old (birthday is this month). He is trained as a service dog for my husband, a confirmation champion, and an all around great dog. He gets along with all dogs no matter the size, and loves kids - sometimes to much. He is health tested and has produced some beautiful puppies.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Good level
Halo Boxers reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Boxers.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
