Meet the breeder

I'm Heather A., the breeder behind Holyoke Kennel located in Deltaville, VA. My breeding philosophy is pretty simple. I place an emphasis on bettering the breed, and providing you, the prospective owner, with a quality and purpose bred pup. I carefully examine every aspect of the dog and as a general rule do not breed any dog that we wouldn’t want to personally own.

Q. & A. with Heather

  • What makes your program special?

I personally take pride in continuing my formal education to ensure a well-rounded approach to breeding. These subjects range from whelping to anatomy, genetics, disease and sanitation and much more. I am dedicated to always learning and have completed AKC Canine College, Good Dog A to Z Litter, Breeding Philosophy and Puppy Culture programs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
