Meet the breeder

I'm M, T, & D P., the breeder behind Kingdom Kenelz Labradors located in Prince George, VA. We are a family-owned breeding & training kennel from Southern VA. We take the longevity of our dogs seriously, doing all that we can to see to it that they live a long and healthy life. We breed 100% Labrador Retrievers (no dilute gene breeding). All breeding dogs at Kingdom Kenelz Labradors have been Embark DNA tested, had their OFA X-rays for Hips and Elbows, and OFA Cardiac exam.

Q. & A. with M, T, & D

  • Why did you start breeding?

Long story short we got one Lab, then two, and the next thing we know we have six and it is still growing! All I can say is we love English Labrador Retrievers. They are true family members! We love their versatile personalities and them for who they are. Loyal, protective, caring. They always know when you need them. From whelping to training to therapy, we want to share this experience with other people.
  • What makes your program special?

Our AKC/UKC registered dogs are from remarkable bloodlines with ancestry pedigrees including titles in RN, RA, EX, TKN, TKI, CGC, CD, CDX, AmCn CDX, CC, CCW, BOB, FIN MVA, FTW, WR, JH, SH, SHR, MH, MHR, QAA, HR, HRCH, GMHR, GMHRCH, '84 NAFC FC AFC, 2xNAFC 2xCNAFC FC CFC, FTCH, '72 & '75, 2xNAFC-3xCNFC-FC, '72 & '75, 2xNAFC-3xCNFC-FC, 1968 NFC 1967 & 1968, 2xNAFC 2xCNAFC FC CFC, 972 & 1977 NAFC FC, CH, TD, TDI, TDX, TT, JW, FC, AFC, NFC, AWC, WC, WCI, WCX, CWC, 2000 NFC FC AFC, GB, '69 & '70 IGL, 71 NATIONAL RETRIEVER CHAMPION FTCH, '91 IGL Winner, Irl FTCh, '65 & '68 IGL Champion, INT FTCH, CNFC, CAFC, UH, BIS, BISS, Multi. Our dogs are well accomplished with basic to advanced AKC titles. Several have passed their therapy certifications with Alliance Of Therapy Dogs, as well as AKC Trick Dog Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, Performer, CGC, CGCA, VSWB, VHMA, UKC SPOT, and UKC SPOT-ON titling. Some of our dogs are also actively working on RN and JH passes. The puppies we raise have gone on to being successful in a variety of environments. Whether just a family companion dog, serving as Service or Therapy Dog, or even competing in sports, some of the titles our puppies have achieved include TKN, BCAT, CGC, CGCA, FITB, FITS, UKC SPOT-ON, VSWB, VSWI, VHMA, & VHMP. A few are even working on or have achieved RN or JH passes as well. The Labrador Retriever comes in three colors- black, chocolate, and yellow. Yellow includes a color subcategory of polar white, cream, fox red and dark fox red. We raise puppies in all three colors black, chocolate, and yellow, including most shades of yellow under that subcategory. A popular trend is to produce a dilute gene from breeding Labrador Retrievers with Weimaraners, resulting in puppies with silver, strawberry, champagne, bronze, or charcoal coats. This dilute breeding is linked to a skin disease known as Color Dilution Alopecia. We are a 100% dilute free kennel. We do OFA hip + elbow X-rays and full Embark DNA panels on our dogs for STARTERS. This means testing for over 270 variants of genetic health issues, 350 breeds, and 55 breed traits in the least. Our pups are highly valued and are adopted out to homes across the USA. They are members of our family and hand raised in our home. We require a veterinarian reference check and a signed contract with a no rehoming commitment. We provide a take home puppy packet upon pick up of your puppy. We also match our puppies to the best fitting family so they can each reach their full potential. They will have received their first set of vaccinations and veterinarian wellness checks. Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from M, T, & D

M, T, & D has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, M, T, & D partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We match our puppies to the forever families. This is to ensure success all the way around. Some programs let you pick the puppy while others match the puppy to you. When a breeder matches the puppy to you, it is normally and should be due to the fact that the breeder knows the puppy's temperament and tendencies better than the adoptive parent who has only visited the puppy a couple of times. Our adoptive families are very happy with our thorough puppy matching process.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Puppies are socialized and exposed to all sorts of different situations and lots of different training experiences. Our puppies and dogs are out of trained and titled parents. Deposit ensures that your chosen puppy will be held until the agreed-upon pick-up date or in the wait-list case scenario, holds your place in line.”

We found Kingdom Kenelz website by fortunate chance when we started looking for our puppy. Our interactions with M, T, & D have been nothing but positive. They have been helpful and accommodating in every way, from providing information and answering our questions to being available for scheduled visits to see the kennels, dogs and puppies. T and M have an impressive depth and breadth of knowledge regarding all things Labrador: bloodlines, breeding, training, and care, all carried out in an affectionate family setting in beautiful rural Virginia. Our puppies came to us very well socialized and with an amazing understanding of some of the basic commands at 8 weeks of age. They are now 2 1/2 years old and are the most amiable, biddable Labs we've ever had - and we've had quite a few! Yes, I did say "puppies", plural, as we couldn't have just one! We took "the boys" back for a one-year reunion with their birth family and had a great visit. We hope to maintain close ties with this exemplary family in the coming years, and cannot recommend Kingdom Kenelz highly enough to do it justice!

In January, we unexpectedly lost our beloved pet. Although it had been many years since we last had a puppy in our home, we discovered Kingdom Kenelz and decided to welcome a new puppy into our lives. Both parties conducted a thorough vetting process to ensure a suitable match. The breeder kept us informed of our puppy’s progress until the time came for us to bring him home. We were so impressed with our initial experience that we ultimately decided to adopt his sibling as well, making our household quite busy. We utilized additional puppy training services, which proved immensely beneficial. Our puppies arrived crate trained, leash trained, and familiar with basic commands. This demonstrated the professionalism of the breeder, who clearly maintains high standards in both the care and training of their dogs. Trinity and Mary have been instrumental in providing expert guidance throughout the process. Their knowledge and assistance have been invaluable. We highly recommend this breeder to others seeking a quality and stress-free experience. If you choose to purchase a puppy from Kingdom Kenelz, you will be equally satisfied.

We would highly recommend Kingdom Kenelz as an exceptional dog breeder. Their dedication to breeding healthy, well-socialized puppies is unparalleled. This breeder's passion for animals shines through in every aspect of their operation. They go above and beyond to ensure the health and happiness of their dogs. Each and every dog is raised with love and care, ensuring they are well-adjusted and ready to become beloved family members. Not only do they raise their puppies with love and care, they make sure each potential home is conducive to a successful and happy environment. We were asked to provide photos of Cooper's living and playing spaces and our vet was called to determine our dedication to our fur baby well-being. Their diligent screening process put us at ease knowing that their priority is the well-being of their puppies. Additionally, we most enthusiastically recommend Trinity as a dog trainer. She possesses a remarkable talent and passion for working with puppies and dogs. She demonstrates a deep understanding of canine behavior. We left Cooper an additional 4 weeks for training. When we brought Cooper home, he was such a well-mannered puppy. He knew all of his basic commands of sit, stay, come and walk on a leash. He was also completely crate trained. He never made a sound when he was in his crate even on the first night in a new place. Even though we did not invest a lot of extra time and money with training, Cooper retains all the manners that Trinity taught him. Most people we meet are astonished at his good behavior and love of humans and other animals. I have attached several photos of Cooper showing how he has grown over the past almost 3 years. We whole heartedly endorse Kingdom Kenelz to anyone seeking a furry companion of exceptional quality and character. On a scale of 1 - 10, we would give both Kingdom Kenelz and Trinity a 10+. We were fortunate to find Kingdom Kenelz on the Good Dog website as we were recovering from the sudden unexpected passing of our 6 year old black lab, Onyx. Knowing that adopting a young puppy may be too much for us since we are retired and pretty set in our ways, we were hoping to find a puppy that was a few months old with some training started. Low and behold, Viola ( who is now Shiloh ) was featured with Kingdom Kenelz! She was 5 months old and the videos that Trinity had posted made it very easy to decide that she would be a great fit. The communication with Trinity and Mary was outstanding. Our Daughter was helping us and she was so impressed with their knowledge and the process to apply for adoption. I was happy to know that they looked into our relationship with our vet and also asked for photos of our home to get an idea of where she would live since we are in Pennsylvania. Mary and Trinity were so welcoming and truly understood our recent loss. When we arrived to bring Shiloh home, Trinity gave us the information regarding the litter and demonstrated the exceptional training that she provided to Shiloh already. Within no time at all Shiloh was potty trained and adapted to her new pack (us) immediately. She knew where the toys were right away and has even picked up the habit of going after socks, just like Onyx did. We could not be happier with our Shiloh and also being a part of the extended family of Kingdom Kenelz!

We had been looking for a Labrador breeder for several months. Our 13 year old lab had passed away. My husband (trying to surprise our family at Christmas) did a lot of research and looked at Kingdom Kenelz. After extensive review, we put a deposit on one of their puppies that was due in late January. Our experience has been amazing. They are very conscientious with their dogs and their puppies, kept us abreast of the developments of the mom and the litter after birth and of our actual puppy after our selection. We love our now 13 week old chocolate lab. It's been a while since we've had a puppy in the house! Kingdom Kenelz kept our puppy for an extra 4 weeks to begin training. This is the most laid back puppy! Potty training, leash training, crate training and basic commands are already well started and we are continuing the training. This is going to be our most well-trained lab ever. We highly recommend Kingdom Kenelz if you love labs!
