Lazy I Cattle Dogs

Avery I.

Breeder of Australian Cattle Dogs

Meet the breeder

I'm Avery I., the breeder behind Lazy I Cattle Dogs located in Millsap, TX. Our dogs have been bred for both work and companionship. From the start, we expose and train them on small livestock plus they are handled and loved on daily by our children. We strive to go above and beyond in giving others the same joy we have with our own dogs.

Q. & A. with Avery

  • Why did you start breeding?

In 2017 I got in contact with a local breeder of Australian Cattle Dogs. After purchasing my first-ever cattle dog, I fell head over heels in love with the breed. Over the years I have been learning the ins and outs of breeding. I'm proud to say my farm's first litter of cattle dog puppies was born in 2022.
  • What makes your program special?

Beyond having immense love for the breed, I have always admired the Australian Cattle Dogs' hardiness and overall quality of the breed. I have taken time to familiarize myself with everything Cattle Dog related, from basic knowledge to genetic studies. I pride myself in giving families the unconditional love and devotion of a healthy and well-bred cattle dog.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red mottled, blue mottled, red speckled, blue speckled, and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
