I'm Michael M., the breeder behind Mike's Best Friends located in Beech Island, SC. I am a small breeder of Cocker Spaniel puppies, I offer show quality, healthy, and happy pups. Sometimes the most ordinary things can be made extraordinary simply by doing them with a Cocker Spaniel. i also Breed Quality Boxers , Some of my Cockers compete in 'Akc competitions.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I started with one pair of Cockers 18 years ago and I have continued breeding Cockers ever since. My very first cocker spaniel was over 30 years ago when i wanted a smaller dog for my daughter, he was a red cocker and his name was Corky who i got from a friend, and was very sweet nature and it sparked the love of cockers and i have always had one ever since. i have had all colors over the years, im very proud of the bloodlines that is have established throughout the years and have had many return buyers who rave about the personalities of the puppies that they purchased from me.

  • What makes your program special?

    All my pups are raised indoors and not in pens outside. All the pups get hands-on care from the time they are born. I sit with the mothers the whole time they are in labor and won't leave them till they are completely finished having pups. All the pups go to the vet for checkups and shots given by the vet, and all pups come with a one-year health agreement. all the pups go home with a very nice starter package, that includes a bowl, toys, leash, harness, sample of food and of course all paperwork neatly arranged inside a folder .

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Cocker Spaniel puppies include black white and tan, sable and white, brown and white, black and white, and black. Boxer puppies include fawn, brindle, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Michael

Michael has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $400 deposit and between $1,300 - $2,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price listed is for limited registration, i occasionally will agree to full akc registration but its rare but not out of the question if you're looking for full akc. contact me and we can discuss it. Deposits are taken for picks, sometimes people will wait till the pups are around 6 week to make a pick, so deposits are either for certain pup or a pick number. ex, pick number, 1, 2, 3, etc.. Please if you put a deposit, understand it will not be refunded if you change your mind because of financial status or timing isnt right, please make sure you're ready for a pup before placing a deposit. Deposits are usually non refundable unless the puppy is deemed not healthy by the vet.. once a person makes his/her pick of a puppy they are kept updated weekly on the puppy's progress.”
