I'm Charlotte H., the breeder behind Outfoxed Australian Cattle Dogs located in Lexington, KY. I breed workable dogs bred for health, temperament, and intelligence. The perfect dog starts with work done by the breeder. I spend countless hours providing each puppy I bring into this world with the fundamental basics for the best start in life.
Q. & A. with Charlotte
Why did you start breeding?
I purchased my first ACD from a rescue in 2011 and we quickly were involved in AKC performance sports like rally, obedience, and agility. In 2014 I purchased my first ACD puppy from Wayout ACDs in Kentucky and found a wonderful mentor. My current dogs compete in multiple sports. The rest is history!
What makes your program special?
We are a small program supporting the continued selection of smart, workable dogs with sound structure, exceptional health and kind temperaments.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Fawkes
Fawkes is an outgoing and talented girl with a ton of personality. Life is a party for Fawkes and she approaches every task with enthusiasm and a bounce in her step.
On stock she has a strong sense of natural balance and works wide.
In performance events she's a quick study and her natural athleticism really shines. She easily jumped into Master distances her first season of Dock Diving, has been a workhorse in disc league. Despite her drive and enthusiasm she naturally rates to the level of her handler and is regularly a spare dog for young children at events due to her kind nature and careful treatment of kids.

Outfoxed Australian Cattle Dogs reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Australian Cattle Dogs.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
