Tonna W.

Breeder of Australian Labradoodles

Meet the breeder

I'm Tonna W., the breeder behind Pamlico Labradoodles located in Washington, NC. Our dogs are family members first and foremost. We're passionate, responsible breeders who truly love our dogs and what we do. We raise adorable, affectionate, versatile puppies, and give them the best possible start for a life of companionship and love! We prepare all of our pups to excel in life by implementing Early Neurological Stimulation and Puppy Culture. They are doggy door trained and familiar with a crate.

Q. & A. with Tonna

  • Why did you start breeding?

We purchased our first Labradoodle, Bennington, in 2008 and soon felt that he was the best dog we had ever had. We decided in 2014 to purchase Bella and begin breeding to see if it was something we enjoyed. Neither of us had prior experiences with breeding so we educated ourselves and had our first Bennington/Bella litter of 2 puppies. God must have known we needed to start out small. It has been an absolute joy of a journey, and we are so happy to be able to share these wonderful dogs with other loving families and individuals.
  • What makes your program special?

We only have a litter twice a year and utilize 2 females that are our family pets. This means that when we have puppies it is a very special time around our house and the pups receive plenty of attention and love. We have a great sunroom that we use when we have puppies. It has a doggy door that leads onto a deck where pups learn to go potty and play. We also use early neurological stimulation and Puppy Culture. We love what we do and truly want the very best for our puppies and their forever families.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include caramel cream, caramel, caramel red, apricot, chocolate, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
