Meet the breeder

I'm Tara H., the breeder behind Panache Puppies located in Medford, WI. Panache Puppies has 1-2 litters per year, giving each litter all the attention it deserves, doing everything we can so each puppy has the best possible start to life. We’re proud of the healthy, affectionate, and behaviorally well-rounded puppies we raise for other families to love!

Q. & A. with Tara

  • Why did you start breeding?

After becoming interested in the breed I found out how difficult it can be to sort out who is doing the appropriate testing. I purchased my first breeding dog with hopes that she would pass all of her health testing and I could breed her to an appropriate stud, creating a line of healthy Cavaliers who would be wonderful family pets.
  • What makes your program special?

My dam has appropriate health testing and has passed her AKC Canine Good Citizen testing. Since we're small, I'm able to put the appropriate time into caring for each litter and communicating with their future families.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blenheim, ruby, black and tan, and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

We had a truly wonderful experience working with Tara. From the very beginning, she was communicative, supportive, and clearly passionate about her dogs. She kept us updated regularly with photos, videos, and notes about the puppies' milestones, which made the waiting period exciting and reassuring. This was our family's first dog, and thanks to Tara, the entire process felt smooth, thoughtful, and joyful. Our puppy, Ladybug, is incredibly outgoing, affectionate, and well-socialized — a testament to the love and care Tara puts into raising her litters. Ladybug has been the perfect addition to our family, and we have no doubt that Tara's dedication played a huge role in shaping such a sweet and confident little pup. We’re so grateful and would highly recommend working with her.

Tara was a pleasure to work with, and continually gave updates on the pups until they were available for pick up! Her communication was always timely with me throughout the process! We adopted Douglas, who is just the sweetest pup! He was super easy to crate train at night, and is learning things so fast! My family and I couldn't be happier with this little guy!
