Colbey C.

Breeder of Australian Cattle Dogs

Meet the breeder

I'm Colbey C., the breeder behind Rockin C Heelers located in Edna, TX. We breed well-rounded Australian Cattle Dogs for farm work and for responsible companion/show homes. Our dogs excel at their jobs. We keep in mind a variety of factors when breeding, including drive, energy, temperament, and structure. Our goal is to produce balanced dogs that will be able to thrive wherever they are needed and excel within various performance venues.

Q. & A. with Colbey

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have owned ACD’s for 22 years. They are very loyal and make great family dogs. I also only need the best temperaments and drive so they can easily take care of moving cattle from pastures.
  • What makes your program special?

I have had to cull thru many of others dogs to get desired drive and confident temperaments. We have AKC Champions that work with the best of them. Our dogs have very stable temperaments and outgoing personalities with very high drives. We breed and focus on the bigger boned, headed type dogs. We have imported blood from Australia. Take our dogs to the show ring or to work cattle, they excel.
