I'm Sherri O., the breeder behind Straight Arrow Australian Cattle Dogs located in Sanger, TX. We offer AKC registered top quality Australian Cattle Dogs with great temperaments that do conformation, agility, and rally. Our AKC registered Australian Cattle Dogs are home to the 2014 Westminster Best of Breed, 2016 National Championship Best of Breed and the 2018 National Specialty Best In Show. But beyond that we pride ourselves in producing dogs with good temperaments, great companions and amazing show dogs.

Why did you start breeding?
Started when I started showing dogs in 2001.
What makes your program special?
I pay attention to breeding dogs with bone, substance and breed type, with beautiful heads, and with sound minds and bodies.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blue mottled, red speckled, blue speckled, and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Sherri
Sherri has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $1,000 deposit and between $1,000 - $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Each puppy comes with a microchip, AKC registration, age appropriate vaccines, deworming, and their BAER testing done. No deposits are taken until all puppies have been BAER tested and they are evaluated for show vs. pet quality.”

Waylon is a male Australian Cattle Dog. Carefully selected as a great representative of his breed, Sherri decided to make him part of their program. Sherri has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

About Barbie
Barbie is a naturally sweet wiggly girl great with people. She is also pretty good with other dogs, she is, however too strong on sheep better suited for herding cattle, strong herding drive. Her preferred activity is being loved on giving kisses and getting dressed up.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
