Suebel Labradors North

Suzanne W.

Breeder of Labrador Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Suzanne W., the breeder behind Suebel Labradors North located in Windsor, VA. I have been breeding labs for over seven years now. I started breeding with my first lab that I purchased from Suebel labradors. Isabell Welcher was a breeder of merit which I did research on to make sure I found the best lab for my family! As Gigi became part of our family it became clear to me that sharing the love and laughs of Labradors would be an amazing gift I could share with others! Susie became my mentor, she held my hand and showed me all of the many things that I needed to do to produce a healthy, well tempered, smart family member. We do all health certifications and panels on our dogs to make sure we can provide the best for others. Susie and I have become a good team together over the years. My two mommies have retired to “couch life😂”since the start of my breeding program. Susie has now given me the opportunity to be able to partner with her and we are able to share the love of both of our dogs with everyone ! With every litter I have learned a great deal and my family members grow with each puppy that goes to their new homes!❤️ A piece of my heart goes out the door every time one of my puppies gains their new family. I love to watch them grow and continue to be a part of their lives with their family members.

Q. & A. with Suzanne

  • Why did you start breeding?

About 10 years ago I was looking for my first Labrador retriever. I chose English labradors because they are shorter framed and more of a size I was looking for with my small children. The breeder Susie Wilcher of Suebel labradors explain to me what a full registration was. I became very excited and decided to do this new adventure!
  • What makes your program special?

I think my breeding program is very special because these puppies are my family! I socialize the puppies with us and our daily routines. We teach them good manners by being involved and socialized with our family. I do crate training with them to teach them a safe space for when they go to their new family. Teaching as soon as those little eyes and ears open is very important! I want my babies to have an easy transition moving into their new homes. By teaching them all that I can before they leave here gives them the best fundamental start. When you become part of my family you’re always a part of my family I say when you take them one of my babies you also take home me. ❤️
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
