Meet the breeder

I'm Susan S., the breeder behind Three Oaks Farm located in Rixeyville, VA. My breeding stock is all shown in AKC conformation,obedience,rally,hunt and coursing events. My studs all have their AKC CH or GCH. I also test extensively and only breed the dogs with the best clearances.I do Early Neurostim/, expose the pups to 7 surfaces in 7 weeks, noises, lights and outdoors.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I had a beautiful chocolate bitch.
  • What makes your program special?

    I breed for health first, temperament and color follow. I do my best to produce happy, healthy babies that will hopefully bring joy to someone’s life. All my pups come with a free session of dog training classes with me. I want all people/dogs to have the best possible life together.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Nederlandse Kooikerhondje puppies are white and red. Labrador Retriever puppies are yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Susan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

A fenced in yard is a requirement. my price varies for pet quality and show prospect. Show Prospect is not a guarantee. All pups are evaluated and placed accordingly.”

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
