Q. & A. with Christine and Autumn

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our ability to bond with animals, train & show them has been a natural part of life. Even the puppies begin weaning with milk provided for us by our national winning dairy line. It is an incredible joy to hear the happiness our dogs bring to their families, the blessing to be able to enrich a person's life with our Aussies has become a passion. Numerous offspring are service and therapy dogs.
  • What makes your program special?

Puppies are born in our home, they are started on military developed ENS & Puppy Culture. Puppies are able to experience sounds of a busy home and when old enough they go play around the farm having a good experience with a wide range of animals, people, crate, grooming and walking on the leash all before they head to their families!! Puppies leave their birth home confident and well loved.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

I couldn’t be more happy with my puppy from Winsome Aussies! Christine and Autumn were super helpful through the entire process. Meeting them you can tell how much they love their dogs. Their knowledge and certifications are impressive. After we got back they even checked in on us to see how our first day went. If you’re looking for an Aussie look no further.

We feel so lucky to have found Christine and Autumn & of course our beautiful puppy. The whole process has been an amazing experience from the very first conversation to even now. It’s clear that they are not only caring & loving people but also incredibly knowledgeable. When we met Christine & her family, they were so kind and welcoming, and we got to meet the mom & dad of our new puppy, which made the experience even more special. Every question we have had has been answered with care, & they have gone above and beyond to help us. We received so much valuable advice about puppy care, nutrition, training, and everything was explained so clearly. Even though we have had a dog before, we learned so much about the unique needs of Australian Shepherds. We are so grateful to have gotten our puppy from such amazing, caring, and knowledgeable family. This whole experience has been wonderful, and we could not be happier.

When our beloved Aussie passed, we were heartbroken and knew that it would be impossible for another dog to measure up. We contacted Christine and Autumn from Winsome Aussies looking for that special puppy that had huge "paws to fill". Christine was prompt in responding to our application and comforted us and also listened to us talk about our dog and his personality. Based on this information, Christine spoke about the characteristics of her dogs and the litters and made suggestions on which dogs she thought would be the best addition to our family. She took her time to get to know us, find out what type of things we like to do with our dog, and continued to show us pictures and videos of her pups. Both Christine and Autumn were super patient and when we saw our little Bud...we knew he was the one! She kept in touch throughout the process, helping up to prepare ahead of time by getting the house ready and knowing what supplies to buy. Additionally, she and Autumn also made videos so we could see the little guy in action and gave training tips over the days before pick up day arrived. Additionally, she was super flexible about pick up time despite have multiple other clients that day. When it came time to meet our little guy, she made sure all safety precautions were met to prevent any possible spread of germs. We had plenty of time to get to know him, ask questions, and for pictures! Additionally, she let us meet Bud's parents, so we could show our love and get a glimpse of what he might be like when he gets older. We were impressed by both Christine and Autumn's thoroughness throughout the whole process. Bud received a care package with a few toys, a training clicker, a collar, leash, medical information, food, and a blanket with his mother and litter mates scent. Additionally, despite only being 8 weeks old, his training had already been started. He could walk on a leash for short distances, would come when he was called, and knew how to sit. Additionally, he already had a good foundation in potty training and with the information they provided, he has had very few accidents. In just a short time, little Bud has filled our hearts with so much joy proving to be the perfect puppy to heal our broken hearts. He came from an excellent home with good confidence, training, and love. Christine and I continue to keep in touch, for picture updates from me while she continues to provide us with support for puppy training. My daughter recently adopted an Aussie puppy in another part of the country from a breeder. She had a great experience also but it was not even close to the care and support received from Winsome Aussie's. While she has an amazing Aussie, I feel like her training experience could have been easier had she had support like we received from Christine and Autumn. Thanks again Christine and Autumn!
