With the upcoming update to our pricing structure, we’ll be able to substantially increase our marketing investments for the first time in Good Dog history. Previously, we were losing money on every dollar spent, which wasn't sustainable and limited our ability to reach the buyers you need. The new deduction on payments from Good Dog-sourced buyers, which goes into effect in mid-September, will allow us to cover our costs and significantly scale up our marketing efforts. This means we can connect you with a lot more qualified buyers, ensuring a steady stream of serious inquiries for your puppies.

For the past few years, we’ve been operating on a shoe-string budget – relying only on the optional Protection & Support fee some buyers choose to pay. As we’ve grown and expanded our services, this no longer allows us to cover our costs or provide the experience you deserve by reaching the buyers you need. To ensure Good Dog remains viable and is able to grow and thrive, we needed to make a change. That’s why we recently announced a change to our pricing structure, effective September 10th, that introduces a 6.5% deduction on successful payments from Good Dog-sourced buyers. This change will allow us to not only cover our costs but also to scale up our marketing efforts so you can reach the buyers you need through Good Dog.

Every cent of the deduction will go directly to covering these costs and improving our services. We're not pocketing profits – we're reinvesting in the platform to make it the best it can be for you, your dogs, and quality puppy buyers. This will ensure that we can connect you with serious buyers for all your puppies and maintain high-quality, dedicated teams across all areas of our operations, from technology to customer support.
