Breeder of Samoyeds

Meet the breeder

I'm Tamiko L., the breeder behind Firecloud Samoyeds located in Fairfield, CA. We've been breeding and showing Samoyeds for over 34 years; producing many champions and fine family pets. We believe Samoyed breeders have a responsibility to remain true to the Samoyed standard and the working heritage of our breed. Firecloud Samoyeds strive to produce Samoyeds who are not only healthy and beautiful but possess sound structure, versatile work abilities, and endearing temperaments.

Q. & A. with Tamiko

  • Why did you start breeding?

My family had a rescue Samoyed when I was younger and I fell in love with the breed. As an adult, I purchased a Samoyed and learned about dog shows and breeding from my breeder. I fell in love with the show and breeding community and was excited to begin my own program.
  • What makes your program special?

The Samoyed is a working breed and Firecloud is dedicated to breeding dogs with versatile work abilities. We have dogs who have earned not only conformation titles, but also titles in herding, lure coursing, barn hunt, and even therapeutic work. We truly love our puppies and know you will too! We pride ourselves on helping all of our adopting families find the right fit for their needs and lifestyle.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
