I'm Mark & Marilyn G., the breeder behind Green Acres Nextgen located in Boring, OR. We’re so excited to be able to help families experience the longtime loyalty of welcoming a new puppy into their lives! Each of our dogs has brought so much happiness to us throughout their lives. Why did you start breeding?
The program is led by Marilyn Griffin, who has dedicated her life to raising and caring for animals, incorporating her expertise in boarding, daycare, and farm management into her breeding philosophy. Green Acres Nextgen prioritizes health and temperament, conducting in-depth medical exams and selecting dogs with strong traits that make them ideal companions for individuals in need of a relationship-focused pet.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs are known for their affectionate nature, adaptability, and child-friendly temperament, making them excellent additions to families. The program’s goal is to create a world where humans and animals thrive together, whether through therapy sessions or joyful puppy adoptions.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies include ruby, tri-color, and chocolate. Golden Retriever puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Mark & Marilyn
Mark & Marilyn has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and between $2,200 - $5,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes the guarantee that both parents have passed health screening for their hips, heart, and eyes, it also includes a puppy guarantee, AKC Registration, the first round of vaccinations, deworming, and a comprehensive puppy health evaluation by a certified veterinarian. It also provides puppy socialization, beginning potty training, crate training, and introducing separation from their littermates. Deposits can be refunded if requested in advance. Puppies are not reserved until contract has been signed and deposit made. At point where contract is signed deposits are no longer refundable.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
