I'm Ashley A., the breeder behind K&A Shetlands Sheepdog's and Pomeranian's located in Albany, NY. We are pet owners first and foremost. All of our puppies are raised as members of our family until they’re ready to join yours. We fell in love with the personality and temperament of our dogs right from the start. Once you’ve owned a Shetland Sheepdog, you’ll never again want to be without one!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Well I always been around animals and dogs my father teach me everything and I love learning until the years all about Sheltie's

  • What makes your program special?

    We dedicate to give healthy pup's teaching them the basics how to react to sound's pee and poop 💩 on pads and how to walk with a leash

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Pomeranian puppies include chocolate and black and tan. Shetland Sheepdog puppies include black and white, sable and white, black white and tan, sable merle and white, and blue merle and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

She took the time to send us pictures and videos of the puppy so we could see her before traveling by plane to finalize the adoption, which was greatly appreciated.     We were looking for a great breeder in the area. Ashley's newborn litter popped up in my feed. Instantly I knew this was going to be breeder. I was going to select. Ashley was super attentive to all my questions. I came from having a sheltie that passed away 2 years ago, so I knew some stuff about taking care of sheltie going into this process. At this time, ashley had two set of litters from two moms so the choice was hard to make. We selected Korra to be our puppy. Ashley provided everything we asked for even down to the genetic screening of the parents. Ashley provided photos and videos of Korra almost every week till the day picked her up. Ashley gave Korra a bath the morning of pickup. The transfer of the puppy was very seamless. My family got to see her entire litter and even both parents and their litter. It was really a great day for not only myself but from my family as well. Korra was very well behaved throughout the whole journey. She was very calm and playful with kids. Even though we had her for 2 days she was very well potty trained outside (cross fingers). I couldn't be even more happier working with Ashley as a breeder. Thank you so much!

    Ashley was extremely responsive whenever I reached out with a question. In the beginning, I had a difficult time choosing a puppy, they are all adorable. I discussed with her my anticipated activity needs and schedule and she took a lot of time reviewing the different puppies and their personalities and activity levels. And of course sending pictures!
