Verified Owner Stories on Good Dog

We know how much you put into your dogs and that even when your puppies leave your home, you’re still invested in their future. Verified Owner Stories allows your owners to share photos and updates to give you a glimpse into how their puppy is doing in their new home. These Stories will live directly on your Good Dog Profile, so you can show off your happily placed puppies.

Below, we’ve unpacked everything you need to know about Stories so you can get started sharing the love you’ve introduced to your owners with the world.

Who can share Verified Owner Stories?

Owners who make a full payment through Good Dog are invited to share their Stories! This allows us to verify that only owners you have had genuine experiences with can share their Stories.

There is no deadline for owners to submit their Stories. To ensure original and authentic Stories, owners cannot edit their Stories once submitted and Stories are limited to one per owner.

Your past owners are also welcome to share their Stories! Read more about how to invite past owners who have made a full payment through Good Dog here.

Where can I view my Verified Owner Stories?

You can view your Stories by simply logging into your Good Breeder dashboard, navigating to your Insights tab located on the left side of your dashboard, and then choosing  the “Owner Stories” tab at the top of the screen.

Collecting Owner Stories is also one of the four key performance factors that drive your success in placing puppies in great homes on Good Dog. Top performers on Good Dog have at least three Owner Stories, and typically see increased interest in families looking for puppies. These Stories from past buyers not only build trust with prospective families, but also enhance your program’s credibility and visibility on our platform. 

Your Insights Dashboard offers valuable information to help you improve across all of your key performance factors, including collecting Owner Stories. Use your Insights Dashboard to track which of your Good Dog buyers are eligible to share an Owner Story, so you don’t miss an opportunity to request one.

How will Verified Owner Stories be displayed on my Profile?

Your Stories will be displayed directly on your Good Dog profile. That means anyone who visits your Good Dog profile can see your Verified Owner Stories (think past and potential buyers, fellow Good Breeders and all of us at Good Dog!)

What if I don’t want to share certain Verified Owner Stories?

You have total control over your profile. If there is a Story that you would rather not share, you can remove it any time. 

To remove a Story:

1. Log into your Good Dog Dashboard
2. Click on “Owner Stories”
3. Click on the Flag icon to the right of the story you’d like to remove. 
4. You’ll have the option to provide details or not and then click “submit”. 
5. Your request will be reported to our team and the story will be removed immediately.

Here’s how Verified Owner Stories work:

You can send buyers a request to leave a Verified Owner Story on your profile anytime after they complete a final dog payment to you through Good Dog! Once they’ve completed their final dog payment, you can select “Request owner story” from the “+” menu at the bottom of your message thread.

Our team will also reach out to your buyer via email reminding them to share their Story if they haven’t completed your request after two weeks. 

Once your owner shares their Story and it is verified, you’ll receive an email letting you know. The Story will appear in the “Owner Stories” section of your Insights Tab and will be displayed directly on your Good Dog Profile!

In some circumstances, your owner may choose to share information with the Good Dog team that may not be displayed on your profile. If helpful, we may reach out to you and your owner to ensure you both feel happy and supported.

You can send a payment request or share your personal payment link and your owners who make a full payment through Good Dog will receive an invitation from us to share their Stories!

If you're not quite ready to request a payment, you can still add a planned or upcoming litter to your Good Dog Profile and when the time is right, you can easily send a payment request so you can start sharing Stories!
