Refund process

If you’ve collected a payment through Good Dog and would like to process a refund or partial refund for any reason, you can do so from the payments section of your dashboard.

To request a refund using a computer, follow the steps below:

  1. From your Good Dog Dashboard, click on Payments
    ​​​​​​​
  2. Find the payment from the buyer you’d like to refund under Completed Transactions
    ​​​​​​​
  3. Click on the payment to open detailed information about the transaction
    ​​​​​​​
  4. Click Initiate Refund on the right
    ​​​​​​​
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to set the amount and add additional details about the refund

To request a refund using the Good Dog Breeder App, follow the steps below:


  1. From the Good Dog Breeder App, tap Program at the bottom of the screen
    ​​​​​
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen to click View All Transactions
    ​​​​​
  3. Find the payment from the buyer you would like to refund under Completed Transactions
    ​​​​​
  4. Click on the payment to open the payment details page and click Initiate Refund
    ​​​​​
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to select the amount and reason for the refund, and tap Initiate Refund

Once a refund is request, breeders will have two options to return the funds to your buyer.

🐾 Pay the invoice immediately, which you can do by continuing to follow the on-screen prompts available after initiating the refund request

OR

🐾 Pay the invoice later. Our Payments Team will send you an invoice via text and email to complete the refund process

Once the invoice is completed, we will refund your buyer to their original payment method.

Note: if the payment was subject to the deduction, we’ll handle reimbursing the buyer the full amount price they paid (including the 6.5% deduction)
