Meet the breeder

I'm Misty B., the breeder behind Beulah Bouviers and Havanese located in Ashtabula, OH. We are a retired military family living on 6 acres in Northeast Ohio. We are a small breeding program with 2 breeding females and 2 studs having started our program in 2019. We have an average of 2 litters per year. We breed only after being given the green light by our vet. We do health testing on our dogs and aspire to breed the healthiest puppies possible. We have 4 children still at home 20, 17, 9, and 6 and a grandson (4 years old) and granddaughter (under 1 year) that is here often. All of our dogs are in our home and the puppies are raised inside as well. We strive to thoroughly socialize each puppy with the everyday sounds of the home. Puppies are handled daily and at 4 weeks begin being rotated throughout the house. They are not litter-fed after 4 weeks old...they are fed with individual bowls so I can monitor each puppy's intake and there is no competition for food. I have found that this reduces the chance of food aggression. My children and I pet the puppies while they are eating and even place our hands around their faces. We have a busy household with lots of guests. We have 4 dogs in the house and 2 cats. Puppies will be vet-checked before leaving here, tails docked (Bouvier puppies), and dewormed at 2,4,6, and 8 weeks old. The first set of shots will be administered by the vet. The puppy will come with limited AKC paperwork, a health record, and a goodie puppy pack with lots of information...including a sample of food, a toy, and a blanket with the mother's scent. I do prefer to help select a puppy for each family based on what you are looking for in a puppy. I prefer that the puppy be chosen not so much based on looks/coloring, but on the personality traits which you are wanting and what works best for your family. We put a lot of care into socializing them so they can transition easily into their new lives. We put a lot of time and care into socializing our puppies from the moment they’re born. We love our dogs and are passionate about raising them to become the best family members possible.
