I'm SHERRY G., the breeder behind Bowmaker Puli Kennel located in Ocala, FL. Our puppies are raised using the Puppy Culture method. By 10 weeks the puppy will sit and look up at your face, be started using a litter box, be used to being picked up and handled and be used to loud noises and household sounds. They are started on vaccinations, will ride in their crate in a car.

Why did you start breeding?
I was raised with lots of family dogs and it just seemed a natural extension of my childhood to have dogs of my own as an adult. I bred a few litters of pet German Shepherds and became interested in showing. After a few years of breeding and showing St. Bernards, I discovered Pulis and totally fell in love with the breed. The rest is history!What makes your program special?
My first Puli was very protective and I realized that I needed to breed toward a more stable, friendly temperament. Since that time, I have consistently selected breeding prospects that excelled in stable temperament. I also test all my dogs for health issues required by the Puli Club of America.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Price
Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and between $2,000 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Hip Dysplasia , Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
